Life has not always been easy for William and I. We both traveled with our families across the mountains at an early age. Life was day to day. Our families didn't have much but we never complained. I met William at the community barn dance. He asked me to dance and it was love at first sight for both of us. It was not long before he asked for my hand in marriage. Thanks to a little money that we had saved, we were able to buy 50 acres and 6 cows. That was the start of the adventure. The first winter was hard and we lost two cows. William tried his hand at tobacco but the soil was to rocky. After Willy was born, we decided to try it again. This time with the help of the Perry brothers, we are now a Dairy Farm with 15 cows and make about 5 pounds of butter at one time.
