Most of the time, she would buy a small package of needles and two spools of thread. I was told that she made dresses and that she only sold them at the store. Later I found out that my mommy wanted one of them but didn't have the money to buy one. I decided that one day I would have money and could buy all the dresses she and I wanted.  Mrs. Fetty would sometimes give me a piece of peppermint candy. It tasted so good. I cannot wait to go with my mommy to the store. Maybe today I will get to help Gladys June put more candy in the case.
